Thu, 22 March 2007 Bradley Saul interviews Cyrus Khambatta. Cyrus discovered he had type 1 diabetes in his early twenties, which changed his life completely. Cyrus eventually learned about a raw vegan diet, and he now healthfully manages his disease by living an active lifestyle and consuming a raw vegan diet. Comments[3] |
It was a great interview about the carbonhydrate diet for athletes. I just start the 80/10/10 diet from Dr Douglas Graham... an new experiment !
Good luck with your Ph.D. in nutrition. I wish that I picked up nutrition for my Ph.D. instead Virology. In September I start a nutrition degree (just BS) in France after 6 years Postdoc in Virology research. I am very excited to use all my knowledge in molecular Biology for nutrition for cyclists.

It would be interesting to see what Cyrus has to say now as a follow up, well over two years later. My brother-in-law has type 1 diabetes and they think I'm nuts when ever I mention a raw food vegan diet.
Is there any documented studies of type 1 diabetic's reversing their diabetes?
